Sheriff’s re-election campaign rides into WeHo

Sheriff Alex Villanueva and his campaign team swooped in to West Hollywood on Saturday morning, part of a concerted effort to pick up votes in smaller communities throughout Los Angeles County.

The sheriff started off the day with an intimate Q&A session at The Abbey with WeHo citizens who were concerned about public safety.

He railed against the ballot initiative that would hand the Board of Supervisors the power to remove a duly elected sheriff if they so choose and replace him with a selection of their own. He called it a brazen power grab.

Villanueva also expressed concern for the Block by Block ambassadors, who he believes are being thrust out into dangerous crime scenes without any firearms to protect themselves.

He followed the Q&A by with a door-to-door block walk near Plummer Park.

Villanueva is decidedly the underdog in West Hollywood, and he’ll have to significantly alter WeHo’s negative opinion of him in order to capitalize on this leg of the campaign. When WeHo voted in the June primary election, Villanueva trailed in third place behind his opponents, Eric Strong (first) and Robert Luna (second), in the amount of votes in WeHo received.

A Los Angeles Times poll this week showed Luna with a slight advantage, while polling conducted by the campaign itself showed Luna and Villanueva in dead heat.

If you hate progressive failure vote for Alex Villanueva. If you like defund the police and progressive hate, racism, identity politics, failed vaccines, homophobia vote for Shyne, Erikson, Horvath, and Luna.

Voted for Alex Villanueva, the obvious choice for common sense. The real crooks are the LA political elite.

I suppose that now that the population has been “replaced”, city hall is “in on it”, and the “misplaced” estates provide a source of cash, then judgment day is upon us. Listen Sheriff, time to get honest and stop the genocide. You shady @#$% will be adjudicated here or after here. You will not get away with this. The Thunder Dome awaits and the interface will not happen. We need all the help we can get. Can the co-signors of the treaty please step up and honor your international obligations?

Thankfully he’s standing up to the progressive crap that is ruining our city. We need more like him.

I was there and heard some interesting insights and observations about the past and current political turmoil and the role law enforcement plays in our daily lives. My take was that he is connected to reality and has no desire to compromise public safety with politics. That’s good enough for me.

This publication can’t do enough promo pro-Villanueva articles to change the outcome of this already-decided election. Bye Alex. Welcome to town Sheriff Robert Luna.

We did a Robert Luna interview, it took a month and many changes of dates and then we offered to drive to see him in Long Beach, but they said he had no office. And he did not make himself available to Weho, or do an event in Weho. At least Villanueva is paying attention to West Hollywood.

Larry, I really appreciated that. And Luna has my vote, 100%. The corruption in the LASD is out of control. Perhaps Luna will show up. We still have 3 weeks to go, from tomorrow.
