A new pizzeria on Sunset Blvd. comes with a slice of fame.

Dobrik hails from Slovakia and found early success on Vine before starting his YouTube channel. He is known for being the leader of the Vlog Squad. Dobrik’s channel was the fifth most-viewed channel on YouTube in 2019.

Well – how’s the pizza there. Is there not one reader here who tried the place out?

I mean – who needs ANOTHER pizza shop in WeHo?

Lol. They stood in line for…pizza…and a YouTuber. Ahahahahahahahahahahahaa. Hold on. Ahahahahahahahahahha. That’s high-larious. In my day we only stood in line for tickets to Zeppelin, Springsteen, and maybe Madonna. And yes, those memories of seeing icons still tastes better than anything this place is serving up. I give it a month before the kids get bored and that spot becomes a new ice rink! I love being a boomer! Thank you, Jebus*. (*Yep, spelled it that way intentionally.)

The opening day line was ridiculous, at over a mile long and completely blocking the sidewalk, much of the road, and numerous driveways and business entrances. I called the sheriff to report the sidewalk and street gridlock and the response was “Oh yes we were informed of a business opening on the Strip. Are they breaking any laws?” I answered, they are completely blocking the sidewalk, driveways and much of the Strip, and no one is there to organize or direct the huge crowd. “Are they breaking any laws?” Is blocking the sidewalk for over a mile not breaking the… Read more »

I think you are too sensitive and self-absorbed and ready to assign blame where it was unnecessary.

Crossing the street would have been easier.

There was just an election and perhaps the councilmembers were spending a well-deserved Saturday taking a break, staying home, and relaxing.

Glad to hear he had a successful opening.

I think you missed my point. Great that a new business is opening in WeHo, and best of luck to them. My point is, when there are thousands of people gathered in one place with no organization or direction, the potential for trouble is great. If there were a fire in a structure blocked by the crowd, should the FD extinguish it from across the street? And FYI, my husband and I were leading a group of seniors on a tour, and they were challenged navigating the impassable sidewalk and very congested street. We had to go out of our… Read more »

Your point was not made well in your first post.

Thousands of people – really?

Yes, the business owner should be responsible, but it reads like the Sheriff should have responded better and likely the owner was focusing on the overwhelming response and should have been trying to get food & people out the door as quickly as possible.

Your snarky comment was not snarky enough.

The mayor is the one that attends ribbon cuttings, not the CC.
