Chelsea Byers maintained her slim lead over John Duran in the West Hollywood City Council election, according to the latest counts released Tuesday.
Byers now has 3,010 votes, just 26 votes ahead of former City Councilmember John Duran (2,984 votes).
The count continues almost a week after Election Day. More figures will be released Friday.
This girl has called for the destruction of Israel. She has no place on any city Council, especially one that promote itself as all inclusive
I will support anyone who isn’t a sexual predator like John Duran.
Byers is toxic, entitled, a pawn of John Erickson, Lindsey Horvath, and Sepi Shyne, a queer when it suits her political agenda, a spreader of antisemitism, a robot, and someone who has exaggerated the facts surrounding her parents losing their house.
The truth! But she seems to be very capable at convincing people otherwise.

Looks like the comments here aren’t necessarily representative of the community overall. It’s possible that Byers, Oliver and Wright will be 3/4/5, which is decidedly different from opinions voiced here. A substantial number of votes found a progressive slate appealing, so hopefully reporting will reflect that fact going forward.

Correct , as an overall package, she has no place on Weho Council. If she makes it, it will be disastrous for all. Dont forget her quote:
“If you look like a stereotypical protester, it’s easy for people to write you off, but if you look like the girl next door, people just might sympathize with you instead”
So who knows whats under that girl next door look.
Antisemitism aside? What the hell does that mean. You don’t put antisemitism to the sidelines anymore than you put racism to the sidelines or homophobia to the sidelines…
We have lost all hope for the City Council, Public Safety, small business and comprehensive homeless programming. I’m not sure how this block of votes came in in such a huge chunk a week after the ballots have been counting for a week, but there is a stench and it’s one of the greatest comebacks West Hollywood has ever experienced. And Byers has never even voted in a Weho city election. Something is not right.
The union, harvested ballots and have a well funded machine to do so: going to nursing homes etc and capturing the votes of many poorly engaged/low information voters, and steering these into their candidates.
It was happy times sowing when these voting law changes removed Trump.
Now we are reaping the harvest of these long term consequences.
