The “Real Friends of WeHo” are “fake friends,” says Dorion Renaud, one of the six gay stars of MTV’s new reality drama set to premiere at 9 p.m. Jan. 20.
Renaud took to his Instagram story to bash the show, saying the friendships that form the basis of the program are totally fraudulent.
“Real Friends” is an unofficial knockoff of the “Real Housewives” series set in West Hollywood. The cast includes Todrick Hall and Brad Goreski among other successful entertainment industry figures.
MTV describes the show as an “unfiltered and honest look at a select group of friends living, loving and pursuing their passions in the West Hollywood community.”
“I don’t know these people,” Renaud wrote on Twitter. Nor does he live in West Hollywood.
Saw 10 minutes of it. I never want to see these gays again if I can help it.
Maybe MTV, the producers and actors need to remember the famous Milli Vanilli group
Notice they got the right mix for diversity, because no one hangs out with only people just like themselves these days. If our group isn’t balanced we dare not even go out!
