MARCH 4: Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event (rescheduled)

On Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the City of West Hollywood encourages community members to participate in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service event (previously postponed due to weather) at West Hollywood Elementary, located at 970 N. Hammond Street.

West Hollywood residents, visitors, and community members are invited to take part in this Day of Service West Hollywood Elementary Beautification Day. West Hollywood Elementary requires volunteers to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Volunteers will perform various landscaping, clean-up, painting, and other beautifying tasks at the school.

Details are available on the City of West Hollywood’s Community Engagement & Volunteer Opportunities website area at www.weho.org/volunteer and there is a link to a registration volunteer portal on that page. Volunteers are requested to register in advance and must be 13 years of age or older to participate. All registered volunteers will receive confirmation and check-in details.

Unfortunately the new breed of Woke People of Color in this community have entirely forgotten abut the character, demeanor and lasting substance of Martin Luther King and his adorable work. One hopes they will at least be respectful in front of the Elementary School Students.
