The West Hollywood Tina’s a.k.a. “The Dancing Tina’s” had a fun road trip to Palm Springs for Modernism week. They specifically went for the Nancy Sinatra events.

The first event was a special presentation of Nancy Sinatra’s music, videos, and photos from her personal archives, then a discussion of her impact as a trailblazer in music and fashion with Nancy Sinatra herself ,and panel that included her daughter, Amanda Erlinger, Don Randi of “The Wrecking Crew”, Kii Arens, visual artist, latest featured artist in Nancy Sinatra’s limited edition lithograph series; David Wills, author of Nancy Sinatra: One for Your Dreams, slated for release 2023; and Hunter Lea, GRAMMY® nominated record producer, songwriter.

I meant to also say The TINA’s dressed as Nancy Sinatra for the costume contest and Nancy Sinatra wasthe judge and chose our local West Hollywood residents as the top winners. (all photos by Tim Baker)

The second event was a street party called “Boots On Arena’s” hosted by Bella Da Ball with DJ Mod Girl providing the tunes.  A professional dance troup, Nickerson-Rossi’s Palm Springs Dance Academy performed, then there was a costume/dance contest for attendees to dance to the song, “These Boots Are Made For Walking”. Nancy Sinatra choose the winners of the contest to be our very own: The Tina’s. Nancy posed for selfies and provided autographed memorabilia to the winners.

OMG. The capstone of one’s career to be exalted by drag queens. Anything to get one’s name before the public.
