The City of West Hollywood, its Women’s Advisory Board, and the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the return of the West Hollywood Women in Leadership Awards & Reception. The 26th annual event will take place at the Andaz West Hollywood tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. PDT.
The Women in Leadership Awards honor the achievements of local women in the greater community. This year, the event will celebrate five remarkable women, including
- Celina Alvarez, Executive Director of Housing Works;
- Catherine Gray, Producer/Author/Podcast Host and Founder of SheAngelInvestors.com;
- Gulla Jónsdóttir, Principal of Atelier Gulla Jónsdóttir;
- Torie Osborn, Founder of Making Waves for Democracy;
- and a special Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Patricia Arquette, Actress, Activist, and Entrepreneur.
Guests will enjoy appetizers, sweets, and complimentary wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the evening. The admission fee for the event is $25, with proceeds going towards the West Hollywood Youth Scholarship Fund.

Oh come on now!!! Despite acknowledged competence in their respective fields, exactly what have any of these individuals accomplished in the unsolicited service category? Having all these perfunctory awards so that the individuals and wanna be climbers can genuflect takes away the honor of any authentic award for service.
