“Grease” fans have a reason to celebrate as Paramount+ and Popsugar are bringing the Frosty Palace to life with a pop-up version of the classic diner on Thursday, April 6, and Friday, April 7, at Mel’s Drive-In on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood. The interactive event is in anticipation of the launch of the new series, “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies,” which premieres on April 6 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada.

The two-day event will feature 1950s-era music and decor, “twists on familiar diner fare,” and photo moments for fans to capture the quintessential 1950s diner experience. “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies” merchandise will also be given away and customized on site.

The Thursday night pop-up will include a screening of the premiere episode of “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies” at 8:30 p.m., and reservations can be made on the event’s website.

Domenic DiMeglio, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Paramount Streaming, said in a statement, “The Frosty Palace is synonymous with ‘Grease’ and the inspired recreation will serve as the quintessential backdrop for the launch of Paramount+’s prequel series, ‘Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.’”

The Frosty Palace was first seen in the 1978 film and is also featured throughout the first season of “Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.” The new musical series takes place in 1954 and centers on four outcasts who dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever.

The series stars Marisa Davila as Jane, Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia, Ari Notartomaso as Cynthia, Tricia Fukuhara as Nancy, Shanel Bailey as Hazel, Madison Thompson as Susan, Johnathan Nieves as Richie, Jason Schmidt as Buddy, Maxwell Whittington-Cooper as Wally, and Jackie Hoffman as Asst. Principal McGee.
