Wrong-way collision on La Brea traps drivers in vehicles

A possible wrong-way collision occurred on La Brea Avenue late Monday night resulting in critical injuries to two individuals.

The collision happened around 11:15 p.m. on the 1200 block of La Brea Avenue and involved two vehicles, both of which sustained major damage.

The impact was severe, causing both drivers to become trapped in their respective vehicles, and Los Angeles County firefighters had to rescue them.

The injured parties were taken to local hospitals with critical injuries, according to KTLA. Witnesses reported that one of the drivers was speeding and driving in the wrong direction, colliding with a Mustang that was traveling normally.

We need speed cameras on our streets and geolocated speed limiters in our cars now. Collisions like this shouldn’t be able to maim innocent people so readily.

1200 La Brea sounds like near San Vicente / Olympic Blvd.
