I’m a longtime resident of West Hollywood and a lifelong advocate for equality, calling for healing after this period of division and hostility that the people of West Hollywood have endured.
The end of the “State of Emergency” is long overdue, and calls on us to reflect on the last three years: Mistake were made. “The science” changed. People were censored, their pain denied and their voices hushed away.
Meanwhile, reactive and harmful policies were implemented in WeHo, scapegoating people based on their health choices. Mandates, passports and other punitive measures were often intended to punish and coerce into compliance, and the system abandoned the sacrosanct principle of voluntary informed consent.
The people of West Hollywood who were subjected to this discrimination and segregation deserve a meaningful consideration of their experiences, not to be judged, ignored or denied. But while we can debate policy prescriptions, we should all be able to agree that everyone deserves to be heard, and that NO ONE should have to live in an atmosphere of humiliation and intimidation.
So, in order for us to move forward, we have to pivot.
We must ensure that Weho is actually a place where everyone feels affirmed and accepted. What we ultimately need is an official non-discrimination policy; that acknowledges the reality of our experiences and respects all of our God given human rights.
As a step in that direction, I’m asking City Council to direct staff to issue a public impact report, that includes the experiences of people negatively impacted by vaccine mandates, passports and related measures in West Hollywood. As the co-founder of Free WeHo Coalition (FreeWeho.com), I am happy to offer my help in good faith, to connect you to our local LGBTQ medical freedom community.

I am so sick and tired of this Monday morning quarterbacking, now that we have things under control. We have things under control, because we got vaccines. Vaccine requirements were never about your health or keeping you or anyone else alive, they were about controlling the hospitalization numbers because an excessive amount of people who refused to get vaccinated kept showing up at the hospital with covid complications, taking up hospital resources when they could have simply gotten a free readily available vaccine. Whenever the next pandemic arrives, this same scenario should absolutely play out with accepting the vaccination. It’s either that or we grant hospitals the right to refuse treatment to the unvaccinated burdening the system disproportionately.
The problem with that thesis – is that it relies upon the fraudulent notion that these injectables had any significant benefits for overall health – individually or at the population level. Nobody’s right to bodily autonomy was violated regarding the covid vaccine because quite simply anything short of the government showing up at your home requiring you to take it or face punishment is not a violation, no matter how you choose to move that goal post. Only those with pre-existing health conditions, the overweight, and the extreme elderly were ever those at risk of becoming very ill or dying from Covid. They should have been isolated and protected, but everyone else should have been free to move about to their jobs, schools and everyday life. The Covid death count is fraudulent because most of those in that total died of something else and just happened to have Covid at the time of their demise. Hospitals got big reimbursements for every Covid death so there was that incentive to count as many Covid deaths as possible.
