With anti Semitism on the rise throughout the country and physical attacks on Jews showing visible signs of their Judaism in several places including the outskirts of West Hollywood while the West Hollywood community remains silent I applaud this show of support and message of peace.

I wonder how many people will be complaining about this on Next Door! Since so many like to complain so much about everything?

Spirituality IS inclusion. Not necessary to suggest or implement labels such as diversity and social justice. Spirituality does not solely belong to any religious denomination. Spirituality is best demonstrated by deeds, not photo ops, signage or cross walk designations particularly as their main focus of this particular event may be self serving by the principals.

Isn’t it redundant to call it shalom peace square since shalom translates to the word peace? Also the sign is already visible as of last week

100%. I guess that some non-Jewish, woke person thought it necessary to translate. SO , YES. Peace, Peace Square. Though we do use shalom as a salutation, it means peace. Oy vey itz mir.

Sadly another self promotional event sponsored by Shyne/Erickson removes any ounce of presumed credibility. If this type of designation is truly important, why doesn’t Mayor Shyne make an effort to advocate for a Jewish temple half a block from her apartment which is threatened with destruction where members are elderly and respected Holocaust survivors?

As a Jewish person, this all makes me shudder. I agree with your comment about Shyne/Eirckson and I’ll add Byers, pretending to love Jews while they’re just seeking votes. I don’t buy it for a minute.

Make that two Jewish persons shuddering in concert. This is absurd.

Make that three, nothing they do while they continue to betray the will of the constituents can hold any credibility, they are self serving in every which way.

And they now the trio appear to have adopted the Kol Ami congregation as enablers. Commercialization of Religion, not a good choice.
