It was just two days after John Duran was sworn in for his last term as Mayor. One of his first ceremonial acts was to present the key to the city to Stormy Daniels and her attorney Michael Avenati.
Crowds gathered around the former Chi Chi La Rue store, which is now named Circus and news cameras adorned the street. The Trump supporters were out in full blare lining up around the perimeter.
Mayor Duran and Council member D’Amico stood hand in hand with Daniels and Avenati and smiled for the cameras. Despite her strong voice for woman’s right and against abuse Horvath was absent from the presentation. Horvath later would become Mayor and ‘ban’ by decree the President of the United States from coming to West Hollywood.
Four years later Michael Avenati was convicted of embezzlement and fraud and is currently serving in a federal prison and Stormy Daniels has risen as the never give up, never say die, women who brought down the ex President to his first deposition.
Will now County Supervisor Horvath send a thank you card to Daniels? Will she expand ‘the ban’ of Donald Trump to all of Los Angeles County? Or will she do whatever is best for her own political career?
