It’s Pride Weekend!
The ceremonial kickoff to Pride weekend always includes the closure of Santa Monica Blvd at 6pm. People start lining the boulevard while the Sheriff’s clears the streets. This year’s celebrations will keep Santa Monica Blvd closed throughout the entire weekend until early Monday morning.
As the streets are closed, the ‘Dykes on Bikes’ gather on the streets and rev their engines, receiving cheers from the crowds along Santa Monica Blvd. The ceremonial honor of kickstarting Pride this year was moved to Saturday. In its place, Sepi Shyne’s fundraiser for her Congress campaign will take place at a local bar steps from the Weho Pride entrance.
If you want to participate in the Pride kickoff and listen to the Mayor’s speech, there is a suggested donation of $50 to join her circle of friends.
One candidate from a neighboring city received an invitation but decided not to attend. “I thought I was going to the start of West Hollywood Pride and then found out Sepi’s invite was for her Congress campaign and included an expected donation,” they explained.

Shyne is running for the United States Congress, representing District 30. Her campaign has been actively reaching out through daily emails, appealing for donations. However, Shyne’s fundraising efforts have not been as successful compared to other candidates in the last filing.
In the most recent email from Shyne for Congress on 6/1: “Running a campaign to spread my message to voters all over the district won’t be cheap.”
In the email sent on 5/31: “We’re using that money to travel the district to meet with voters who have been neglected.”
And on 5/30, in the email sent on Sunday: “You are invited to a West Hollywood Pride Community Fundraiser in support of Sepi Shyne for Congress.”

One thing is clear: this Mayor is not prioritizing West Hollywood issues. However, she is capitalizing on Pride and her role as Mayor.

Again, the pride kickoff every friday for all the past years was reserved for dykes on bykes, down Santa Monica Blvd.. if you read the article one person, an elected representative, which I described as a candidate came for the friday night traditional celebration to find out if was a fundraiser. Obviously, the pride parade and celebration was all about getting Shyne elected to Congress. It was like everyone was bused in. As for boys town, the hottest thing was the muscle white guys on the fire truck. To be politically incorrect, the 80% white population seemed to be hiding in their homes until this disruption was over in their City where they pay the taxes.
We need to get some normal people on the city council. This nonsense has gone on far too long.

Why is God always portrayed as a white, old man with a long flowing beard to boot? I would think that the Deity is devoid of gender. And Jesus looked nothing like all those paintings which were stylized to reflect the times in which they were created. And why do angels have wings? What’s with that?

Sepi’s priority are making sure the highly desirable homeless “residents” of weho feel welcome. Every single one of her wacky policies and ideas in some way relates to throwing more money at the homeless. It hasn’t made the slightest dent in the problem. Too bad they have never had an honest person on the City Council who told people the truth that the problem can’t be solved, until we get serious and arrest vagrants, squatters, trespassers, thieves and dangerous people. Does anyone seriously think compassion has worked or helped? It hasn’t. Now you’ve heard the truth for the first time.
Sepi Shyne’s chances for being elected a congress person is ridiculous. Already, on today’s WEHo Times, dozens of photos of Shyne with what looks like a collection of freaks. If you really want to kill her campaign, just do a video. Boys Town versus Freetown. I believe she’s already a loser in West Hollywood but look at the rest of the district. There are many Armenians. Thanks, Larry, for more ghastly revelations about Sepi Shyne. Frankly, considering the mayor’s popularity in West Hollywood, Shyne should be paying $50 to anyone attending the event. Plus, another $50 just to sit through her speech! The woman is a major narcissist and delusional to believe in anybody could possibly consider her a congress person. Does she know the district? Beyond her non fan bases in West Hollywood.
