Footage showing a leather daddy choking and whipping the bare butt of a younger man tied up on a float in West Hollywood’s Pride parade on Sunday is making the rounds on social media, raising questions as to whether the event was as family-friendly as some thought it would be.
Video posted to Twitter by user @belindacohen shows two men on a pickup truck surrounded by floats in front of the former Flaming Saddles on Santa Monica Blvd. One of the men, wearing only a thong and a few other leather straps, is restrained to an X-cross in the bed of the pickup. The other man, wearing traditional leather BDSM-style gear, chokes the first from behind while whipping him gently with a cat o’nine tails.
The erotic scene played out as parade-goers packed the sidewalks on the sunny afternoon. The event drew many families and children, although none are seen watching in the video clip. The attendees visible in this clip appear entertained by the spectacle rather than horrified.

I have been openly Gay since 1976…I didn’t need “allies” then and do not need them now. I don’t need to be “celebrated” This event has no reason to exist. If you can prove LGB’s are denied any rights, I will make a generous donation to the charity of your choice…
First sane comment about this overly fabricated issue. There are plenty of people, perhaps such as yourself, that quietly pursued their interests whether business, sports or otherwise, who find the celebration of Pride offensive. It promotes division, false ideals and unnecessarily annoys many members of the public otherwise undisturbed by anyone’s sexual preferences
It is no wonder why the world hates us! Why can’t we keep our perversions private and not show them publically? Let’s keep PRIDE Positive, fun, funny, or even educational.
