In a special collaboration with Grand Performances and supported by an arts grant from the City of West Hollywood, the Los Angeles-based band Changüí Majadero and Emmy Award-winning DJ Jedi will perform at Plummer Park on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 4 PM.
The concert, initially scheduled for Sunday, August 20, has been rescheduled to August 27 due to the expectation of heavy rain from Hurricane Hilary. The event will take place at Plummer Park, located at 7377 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90046.
All concerts are free, family-friendly, and will run from 4-6:30 PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, and low chairs, as seating will not be provided. Free parking is available in the south lot accessed from Santa Monica Blvd and the north lot accessed from Fountain Avenue, with street parking also available.

Changüí Majadero
Changüí Majadero is a renowned band that fuses traditional Afro-Cuban music with contemporary influences. Known for their infectious rhythms, intricate melodies, and improvisational flair, the band has been a leading figure in the West Coast’s Latin music scene. They have performed at various festivals, clubs, and cultural events across the United States.
DJ Jedi
JEDI, an Emmy Award-winning DJ based in Los Angeles, is celebrated for his eclectic style of mixing, selection, and turntablism. He has toured globally, working with Tony Award-winning Broadway productions, Grammy Award-winning hip-hop pioneers Digable Planets, and as a recurring member of DAKAH, a 50-piece hip-hop orchestra. Jedi is also a co-founder and current resident at the Los Angeles installment of Motown On Mondays and has been instrumental in developing the DJ/Production program at Musicians’ Institute in Hollywood, CA, since 2014.
