L.A. County Sheriff’s Department deputies from the West Hollywood Station on Wednesday arrested Eric Vanhorn, the 43-year-old man suspected of attacking another individual with a machete or ax on Aug. 19 at the intersection of Highland and Romaine. The arrest was a combined effort of LASD and the Los Angeles Police Department.

Eric Vanhorn was booked for assault with a deadly weapon & is being held on $1.1 Million bail in the Menā€™s Central Jail. He has priors and likely to be charged with attempted murder, NOT getting out anytime soonā— While in WeHo Journalist/Reporter Vishal P. Singh has been assaulted numerous times by proud boy terrorists who admitted their intent to kill him, with LASD completely providing material support and cover for them.

The neighbor you never dreamed of soon to be housed in one of the homeless habitat hotel conversions where they will remain largely out of sight, and tragically untreated.

Who could’ve seen that coming in a violent, drug filled squalid homeless camp condoned by Democrats.

This attack was 100% preventable. I called into the Sheriffs that a man (who I assume was the man arrested, I can tell you what he was wearing I doubt he changed) was walking up La Brea waving an axe the day before the attack. I followed him along with one of my neighbors for 15-20 minutes while on the phone with the sheriff’s office. But then I had to leave to get to work. At 9am on a weekday can’t the Sheriffs get a squad car less than a mile and a half from the station to La Brea… Read more »

Maybe the Weho Sheriff needs more cops so they can better respond to the multitude of calls they get every hour of the day.

Ask the Weho “anti-police nuts” about that.

Maybe you’re correct. I’d love to know what else was going on at 9am when I called. Maybe they have a good reason for not showing.

The problem is, whether they have a so-called good excuse, or nothing of a kind, you will never get them to respond. Thereā€™s stonewalling and their complete lack of accountability to the City of West Hollywood Government has been going on for literally decades. And in their arrogance, they will do what they want to do, and they will not do what they do not want to do, and there are no two ways about it and everyone else can just go to hell.. Thatā€™s the kind of attitude that they have, and thatā€™s exactly the kind of attitude that… Read more »

You should register for the Weho Sheriff Community Academy for residents. It starts 9/6. It may help you understand what they do on a daily basis.

Next time, just tell him that the person carrying the ax is Caucasian. They’ll be there in no time.

A completely FALSE premise, law enforcement is NOT only MORE likely to arrest nonwhites they are far more likely to use lethal force against nonwhites even when compared to whites who are known killersā—

That’s actually not at all true. More white people are shot by cops than any other race. Look up the FBI statistics.

Apparently YOU haven’t looked up the FBI crime statistics because they wouldn’t help your argument. Keep in mind the strong right-wing bias in the FBI. Numerous sources confirm Black men are killed by the police more than any other group, Black WOMEN are regular targets of police violence even though this fact is often rendered invisible.

Calm down, ask yourself what those numerous sources say about who’s committing the crimes

orā€¦law enforcement is more likely to arrest individuals who commit crimes and shoot individuals who pose a threat to themā€¦and if those individuals happen to be something other than ā€œwhite,ā€ how is that law enforcementā€™s fault? The machete dude is obviously blackā€¦they arrested himā€¦ so now thatā€™s your proof that law enforcement arrests black people? Lol. Only if theyā€™re stabbing peopleā€¦Iā€™m certain if the guy was white, they would have arrested him tooā€¦

Notice that lethal force is consistently used by law enforcement šŸ· against UNARMED Black suspects where as heavily ARMED white suspects are consistently taken into custody unharmedā—

You’re missing and leaving out a huge factor in your meme which is the fact that every single one arrested surrendered without incident, meaning they did not put up a fight.

First off NONE of the Black people were given a chance to surrender like Breonna Taylor an EMT who was asleep in her own home, Elijah McClain surrendered offering NO resistance & died in custody, George Floyd was taken down instantly & died while a now-former police officer pressed his knee into his neck.

Cy Hussein – none (NONE) of those incidents happened in West Hollywood. We need to ensure our policing agency reflects our laws and values, those other agencies have to be overseen by their own communities. (See “Democracy”.)

Well must admit you got me on the first part of West Hollywood being much better, perhaps the most hospitable environment for me in the entire country. Now “to ensure our policing agency reflects our laws and values” might run afoul of the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution, Article VI Clause 2 clearly gives the federal government exclusive power in this area.

Pretty sure La Brea is LAPD. They never show up… unless one of their own is involved, and then the whole precinct shows up in record time.

I live over here, where we were following this man was West Hollywood. I know it’s confusing, but trust me when I saw the axe guy he was in WrHo, where he committed his attack by Highland was LA.
