West Hollywood will host the first annual Harvest Haunt, a cannabis-themed event, on October 31, 2023. The event, organized by Emerald Village, will take place on Santa Monica Boulevard between N. Robertson Blvd. and N. La Peer Dr., adjacent to West Hollywood’s Halloween Carnaval. According to Lauren Fontein, President of Emerald Village West Hollywood, this is the first and only legally licensed public cannabis experience to be held on Halloween night.

The Harvest Haunt will be a ticketed event for attendees 21 years and older. It will feature more than 150 cannabis brands available for purchase from eight local dispensaries: AAHS West Hollywood, The Artist Tree, Calma, Off the Charts, PleasureMed, Urbn Leaf, theWOODS, and Zen Cannabis. The products available will include flower, beverages, edibles, pre-rolls, concentrates, tinctures, and topicals. These products can be consumed on site in designated areas.

In addition to cannabis products, the event will offer 30 different experiences, attractions, and amusements created by California cannabis brands such as Kiva, Wyld, Ooka, and Kurvana. The evening’s entertainment will be curated by DJ Ben and DJ Paulo Ramirez, and will feature a community costume contest and a drag show hosted by Jasmine Masters from RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Tickets for the event are now available for purchase. Attendees must be at least 21 years old and present a valid ID to enter. For more information or to purchase tickets, individuals can visit the event’s official website.

Emerald Village West Hollywood, the organizer of the event, was founded in 2021. It is a representative organization for cannabis businesses in West Hollywood. The board of the organization focuses on promoting tourism, legal cannabis regulations, consumer safety, and advocacy for cannabis decriminalization and social justice. Its members include a range of local cannabis businesses.

I agree with Stevie – this should be, if it should be at all – on April 20th. But really folks, I don’t agree with this Emerald City crap. We didn’t become a City just to be a destination for weed. We are racing to the bottom with this. I am not against Cannabis, but we are saturated enough. Don’t need any more.

Oh hell no, the date’s all wrong for this. Make it its own festival on April 20th. If the city is going to do one at least do the date right. Besides, more money for us AirBnB providers on additional dates.

Man oh man do these negative commenters even know where they are? This town is literally sandwiched between a gay scene that has been permeated with weed for decades and a historic mecca of hard rockers and LA hippies. All with hard partying Hills houses overlooking the place. Sorry its not all one big Russian retirement home.

“Gay”,”hard rockers” and “hippies”. LOL, that’s ancient history. Come up with a more modern vocabulary.

β€œgay scene that has been permeated with weed for decades”. -I’ve lived here for 30+ years and your statement is totally false. The only thing that permeated the air was cigarette smoke. We fought against that and won. Now look what we have to deal with. πŸ™„

It’s like we’re living in Back To The Future 2 and we’re in the screwed up alternate 1985, but it’s even worse than we imagined.

Just what we need. Is this what the residents had in mind when we supported a limited number of cannabis businesses within our city? Don’t think so. Not surprised though..give an inch…take a yard.

I’m genuinely asking: how does this affect you?

I don’t go to cannabis events, but I also don’t mind them.
