UPDATE: The City of West Hollywood released this statement Tuesday afternoon.
“During the regular meeting of the West Hollywood City Council on Monday, October 2, 2023, Mayor Sepi Shyne stepped away from the meeting while not feeling well. The meeting continued, led by Mayor Pro Tem John M. Erickson until it was adjourned. In an abundance of caution, paramedics were called, and Mayor Shyne was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She spent the night under observation, and she was discharged this afternoon. She feels well and is happy to be back home. She extends her appreciation to community members and colleagues who reached out.”
UPDATE: Mayor Sepi Shyne is reported to be doing better after her abrupt exit from City Council’s meeting on Monday night.
Councilmember Lauren Meister told WEHOville she had heard the mayor was “doing OK” but had no further details.
Mayor Sepi Shyne abruptly exited tonight’s City Council meeting reportedly due to a health issue.
At about 7:04 p.m, emergency responders, including firefighters and Sheriff’s deputies, arrived at West Hollywood Library. The mayor left the building in an ambulance about 20 minutes later through the alleyway.
The meeting resumed but ended just before 8 p.m.
This story is developing.
Glad she is ok.
Don’t want to be disrespectful, but this has been a wretched couple years for West Hollywood, ever since Horvarth and Soon Shiong pushed their agenda, followed by Shyne and Byers. Of course we all wish her well.
And who pays for the ambulance? I’m sure it will be us taxpayers
People should be familiarizing themselves with this detox protocol by cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough: “Clinical Rationale for SARS-CoV-2 Base Spike Protein Detoxification in Post COVID-19 and Vaccine Injury Syndromes”

Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead
I do not like the way Sepi Shyne conducts herself, I do not like the way she disregards residents, I believe she is the worst person to sit on our council…ever. And I do not like her policies…AT. ALL (I think they have destroyed our city) But I do not wish anyone ill will. I wish her the best.
More dramatic than pulling the fire alarm.
!!!!
I don’t really care if she’s okay or not. She’s hurt so many in her short time in West Hollywood, it would be a blessing if she had to resign due to health issues.
Gripping chest. Signs of numbness in left arm. On the surface, this looks like a pulmonary incident. Sepi is 46 years old.
I hope she gets the help she needs. I believe in the power of prayer.
Maybe stop spreading nonsense from AAPS, West.

Neither Sepi nor John Erickson showed any signs of apparent distress at her leaving. Where did you obtain these details?
She appears to be wringing her left hand and places her hand on her heart while looking distressed. These are my observations of Sepi’s behavior from the recorded video. As the statement from City Hall does not disclose a diagnosis, we can only speculate.
Hmmm. Were you present at the meeting or do you have x-ray vision on the video?
Here is zoomed in and enhanced video. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CyG_46ovUZ4/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
We don’t know Sepi’s diagnosis and medical privacy is important. However it is fair to speculate about the health of a public official.
Your comment and link states that it goes against “Community Guidelines”. Can you explain? While I zoomed in on the Weho TV Video and was not able to detect anything that you suggested.
I just looked at the YT video and saw nothing.
Is there another camera angle?
Political differences, no matter how great or small, should never diminish your basic decency. Any comment not supportive of her well being is petty, and says more about you than anything about her. I have no dog in this fight other than shaming fools with wagging tongues. Save the tough talk for politics, not personal attacks. You lose all cred when you don’t.
Amen.
Tell her it gets better and move along.
I hope she’s OK. But if this was some kind of stunt…. That’s the thing with being dishonest. If something real happens, no one believes you. It’s the story of the little boy who cried wolf. When she has been a self-serving, vicious, dishonest, traitor to public office and the people who elected you, and the people who didn’t, whom you still represent, it’s very hard to get sympathy. Her condition is private business, but the whole thing is very suspect in an otherwise healthy reasonably young person who certainly has never lacked the energy to be vindictive and vicious.… Read more »
