Kitchen 24’s last day comes early after owner bans them from building

A notice posted on the door of Kitchen 24 in West Hollywood by the building’s owner Errol Roussel on Sunday authorizes the Sheriff’s Department to remove and/or arrest anyone in the space for trespassing, effectively condemning the beloved WeHo diner to an unceremonious early demise.

Kitchen 24 had already announced it was going out of business but had planned to stay open through Halloween.

“Due to circumstances that are 99.9% out of our control, Kitchen 24 will be closing for good October 23,” reads a note posted to their social media. “We loved being here, thank you for having us!”

K24 had become a shadow of its old self, my friends would no longer even entertain going there. The sooner they deep clean this space, get a new operator with better food, more energy and really just a good vibe, the better for WEHO.

I ordered breakfast from then on Sunday, so when did they close their doors? Make it make sense.

They likely neglected payments to their vendors, leading the vendors to cease product supply, fully aware of the impending closure. Unfortunately, it’s the dedicated staff, with bills to pay and reliant on that final paycheck, who bear the brunt of the situation. Having worked in numerous restaurants over the years, I’ve witnessed firsthand that such situations seldom end well for both vendors and employees.

Errol Roussel appears to be a Managing Member of Kitchen 24. So what is this really about and what is the goal?

2020-2022? Yep, someone’s got egg in their face for buying into this. The only question is, did the egg come from Kitchen24 for trying to fool people into blaming the owners.

Headline: “Kitchen 24’s last day comes early as owner bans them from building”. Bans who? None of this is explained in the article apart that it’s 99% out of their control.

The Trespass Arrest Authorization is good for 1 year. The date is 9/8/2020 to 9/1/2021. The notice expired 2 years ago.
