The kids of WeHo got a bit of the white Christmas experience Saturday afternoon courtesy of the city’s second annual Winter Wonderland event at West Hollywood Park.

Two small plots of land in the park lawn were filled with artificial snow and roped off for local children to frolic in under the warm California sun.
For many of the kids, it was their first ever hands-on experience with snow. In brief 10 or 15 minute intervals, groups of children got make snowballs, build minimalist snowmen and scoop ice cream cones they were forbidden to eat before being herded out to make way for the next group.*
The event was also stacked with plenty of arts and crafts, a DJ, a robotic 360-degree selfie stick thing and a cardboard Christmas village.
*Idea for next year: Double the size of the snow areas and let the kids play as long as they want!
