Hot on the heels of Uchi’s debut in West Hollywood, Oheya has announced it will be opening up next door to its sister restaurant late next year.
Meaning “the room” in Japanese, Oheya will feature a 14-seat dining space next to Uchi (“the house”) on Santa Monica Boulevard.
Oheya first made its mark in Houston back in March. The L.A. branch is poised to offer an omakase menu, which will be crafted in partnership with one of the chefs from Uchi’s other venues and the local L.A. culinary team. The Houston location, notable for its $175 chef-driven and personalized menu, is nestled inside a small bar area, discreetly indicated only by a marked door.
