Tiffany Haddish pleads ‘not guilty’ to DUI after Laugh Factory show

Tiffany Haddish has entered a “not guilty” plea in her Los Angeles DUI case, mirroring her previous plea in a similar case in Georgia, TMZ reported.

The comedian was arraigned on Wednesday, facing two charges brought by the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office: driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a .08% blood alcohol content (BAC).

Last month, Tiffany Haddish was arrested after performing at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood when law enforcement officers claimed to have found her asleep at the wheel, with her vehicle partially obstructing the road. While she initially made light of the situation in a stand-up comedy set shortly after her arrest, it now appears that the matter is taking a more serious turn, as she pleads not guilty to the charges in both Los Angeles and Georgia, indicating her intent to contest them.

In the Georgia case, which was originally scheduled for trial this month but has been postponed, court documents reportedly show that Tiffany Haddish alleges that law enforcement officers conducted an unlawful search of her vehicle. Additionally, she has requested that her blood test results not be admitted as evidence.

As a result, it appears that Tiffany Haddish is facing the prospect of legal battles on multiple fronts, both in Los Angeles and Georgia, as she seeks to defend herself against these charges.
