Jennifer Lopez made a surprise appearance at The Abbey on Sunday afternoon during the venue’s drag brunch.
The singer and actress served drinks to starstruck patrons during her unannounced visit celebrating The Abbey’s founder David Cooley and his contributions to the LGBTQIA+ community.

what picky, judgmental comments. Not JLo fan but SHEESH, what a display one portion of the WeHo Community exhibits. A portion that knows how… to complain.
And Brandon (love you), but you missed the whole point why Jennifer Lopez was at the Abbey, (yes promotion), but she went there to honor David Cooley and his legacy of creating a safe place for the LGBTQ community for 33years. Looking at the WEHO and LGBTQ landscape far and wide, that is indeed an honorable feat with or without self promotion.

Was this an approved party by the city? Or is the city still letting The Abbey do whatever they want whenever they want? I had a code official tell me I needed some type of event permit when I had a DJ for my clients and I’m sure the Abbey has never been approached by the city.

Is Lopez wearing real animal hides in West Hollywood? Has no one enlightened her? If that coat is real, it took dozens & dozens of innocent animals, tortured from birth to painful death, so clueless people like Lopez can wear “luxury: & “status” garments in public. Disgraceful. Someone should tell her.
Also, years & years ago, SAG formally changed the official thespian designation for both male & female to “Actor” to make it asexual in the name of equality. Time for everyone to catch up.
Marilyn M., before you start a PETA incident, perhaps you could stop judging from afar and start learning from close up. What Jennifer Lopez is wearing is faux-leather. Perhaps you didn’t see it, but in one of the video clips above,, she is shown wearing a full length fur coat. And it sure didn’t look like faux fur to me.
