The City of West Hollywood urges you to make your voice heard in the upcoming Presidential Primary Election, emphasizing the significance of each vote.

Important Dates for the Presidential Primary Election on March 5, 2024:

  • Voting by Mail and the opening of Drop Boxes start on February 1.
  • February 20 is the deadline to Register to Vote and to request a Vote by Mail Ballot.
  • Same-Day Registration and the opening of 11-Day Vote Centers at WeHo’s Plummer Park (Fiesta Hall, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd) begin on February 24.
  • The 4-Day Vote Centers at WeHo’s West Hollywood Park (Aquatic and Recreation Center, San Vicente/La Cienega Rooms) open on March 2.
  • Election Day is March 5.

California allows for conditional registration on the day of the election, letting you cast a provisional ballot. Mail-in voting and drop-off started on February 1, 2024. LA County Vote Centers, including two in West Hollywood, will be available from February 24, with hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. before Election Day, and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day itself. For detailed Vote Center locations and wait times, check the LA Vote locator website.

If you need transportation to vote in-person, West Hollywood offers two free services: Cityline, with regular stops near voting sites, and Dial-a-Ride, a reservation-based service for seniors and individuals with disabilities. You can find the Cityline schedule and how to register for Dial-a-Ride on the City’s website.

To support your voting process, West Hollywood and LA County have established three secure and monitored Ballot Drop Box locations within the city:

  • Behind City Hall at 8300 Santa Monica Blvd (off N. Sweetzer Avenue).
  • At the West Hollywood Library, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd (in front of the library on the west side).
  • In front of the Plummer Park Community Center at 7377 Santa Monica Blvd.

You’re encouraged to plan your vote, considering options like mail-in ballots, in-person voting at a Vote Center, or using a ballot drop box. Stay informed on issues, vote early, motivate others to vote, assist those in need with their mail-in ballot, and track your ballot through the “Where’s My Ballot” service for updates on its status. Registration and ballot tracking are accessible online.

Comprehensive election information, including details about your ballot, is mailed directly from the LA County Registrar-Recorder, with additional resources available on the City of West Hollywood’s election webpage.

REMEMBER: Vote with your brain, not with your feelings, which, if you allowed it, could have been intentionally manipulated for the past few years by some leaders.
