This is the second time in a week someone broke into our building on 920 n kings road (villa Esther)
The first time they made off with packages.. this time they broke into several cars, took packages and broke into our mailboxes.It happened around 4am on Feb 20th. I lived in NYC and those doormen belong to a union which requires they be paid a VERY good wage. That means the residents pay high HOA fees. A friend there has a 400 square foot condo and his monthly dues are over $1000, and the only amenity his building offers is a rooftop deck. Surely there is technology and entrances to buildings that would provide some greater deterrence than what we have now. The market usually rises to the occasion to provide a solution to a growing problem like this.
I’ve been to quite a few NYC protests with some friends who live in the Projects that have NO HOA fees or monthly fees, they have Union Security Officers and, NO break-ins with a relatively LOW crime rate in-spite of reactionary misinformation. Many attend or Graduated from NYU or CUNY. The solution to all the problems here is clear, West Hollywood needs large scale low income Public Housing Projects ❗

Yes. The defunders who use our tax dollars to pay two bomb squad deputies and 4 regular deputies to protect them at the meetings but fight to keep from paying for an extra deputy on patrol. Pathetic hypocrites.

For the amount Villa Esther charges for a little studio, they should upgrade the front door security door.
This is the norm these days. My building in Norma Triangle had 3 incidents in the last few months, my friends a block over had 2. If you call 911 you get a lecture this isn’t an emergency. By the time sheriff arrives they’re usually gone.
The guy needs to do a better job masking😷 in order to effectively protect himself from respiratory diseases like COVID-19. Now the woman needs better protection than what she has, she should consider a surgical mask at the very least & possibly an N95. If they plan on any intimate interactions in West Hollywood, I strongly recommend the use of condoms throughout the course of their activity. Condoms which have been proven effective are a part of nonpharmaceutical disease containment❗😎
