UPDATE: Despite good news in their report, Block by Block supervisor Erica DeLeon was a no-show at Monday night’s Public Safety Commission meeting. Community Safety Director Danny Rivas delivered the report in her stead.
West Hollywood’s Block by Block security ambassadors saw notable improvements across a number of categories in the month of February, according to the monthly report the agency is set to present to the Public Safety Commission tonight.
The ambassadors logged nearly double the restroom counts at Plummer Park last month over February 2023. Contacts with homeless people increased threefold.
The five kiosks manned by ambassadors stationed throughout the city all saw increased contact with members of the public, particularly at the Ramada location.
Hospitality and business contacts saw some of the greatest rises over last year.
The full report can be seen below.
Just like they are a no show for any crime in WEHO. They should dress them in Clown outfits and the City Council should dress in little TuTu’s reminiscent of Polly the prancing Poodles just not as talented.
The report was not skipped, it was delivered as expected. Quite interesting as well, although not sure how data is tracked. The headline makes it sound as if the report was not given.
How is this data validated? This information can be easily inflated.
Didn’t show? At least we have those colorful pie charts to revel in.
Block by Block was a no-show at the public safety commission meeting tonight.
Was there a reason given for their representative not showing up?
I don’t remember the exact wording, but Danny Rivas announced that she had called and said that there was another event that came up that she had to attend. If you watch the meeting, you will hear his exact words.
