Senior Transportation Planner Bob Cheung speaks to WeHo residents after the April 15 City Council meeting about removing parking spots from Gardner Ave.
@wehoonline Bob Cheung Senior Transportation Planner speaks to residents after the April 15 City Council meeting re: removing parking spots from Gardner #weho
Gardner does not need protected bike lanes. It’s already wide and calm enough. Who are these clowns?
IMHO WeHo city employees making over $100,000 … a boatload do, should required to live in city. Somewhere in the 1218 acres
I agree with the commenters that question where Cheung lives. There must be accountability to the residents for the disjointed actions that are taken that affect our quality of life by people who live elsewhere. We must end the era of outside forces using West Hollywood as their Petri dish for experiments that we have to live with while they drive away at night. This fiasco reeks of incompetence, indifference, and insolence. While this staff member obfuscates through the bullpucky, Erickson and Byers are unapologetic enablers whose imperious approach to governance must be stopped. It’s time to take our city… Read more »
Does this guy even live in Weho? I mean nobody that lives in our community should want to take away FREE parking. Let’s not forget that in addition to the residents who need the parking, we also have Plummer Park. Many times the parking lot is full and park goers have to park on the street.
I have emailed the City of Weho and asked for statistics showing how many bike riders there are on Gardner vs the amount of tenants that will be affected by the removal of parking spots..I have yet to receive a response with those numbers…

great

Mayor Erickson sent Bob Cheung to deal the lions that he was too much of a coward to face himself. While sending out Cheung to deal with the malcontents on Gardner, Erickson was trying to make himself look pro-active when in fact he has no intention of dealing with the residents in good faith. He continues to deflect as he is playing to a larger audience. As Council members Meister and Heilman pointed out and staff admitted, there was no notification to the residents that they would lose a substantial number of parking spaces if the City installed protected bike… Read more »
exactly right and beautifully articulated, Steve!
nope, but he always make a point of saying he listens…he responds..but it doesn’t mean a damn thing! VOTE.HIM.OUT.
Gardner is a victim of the loathsome Woke Three!
Thank the sky gods that Shyne will be gone at the end of the year. Also, let’s make sure that the ridiculous self promoting Mayor John Erickson is gone too. Unfortunately, we will have that pathetic Chelsea Byers, the refugee from Arizona, as mayor.
we must work very hard to make sure that in November, we don’t get stuck with more Unite Here puppets and people who are just using WeHo as a steppingstone to further their own political ambitions!
The problem is, the aligned the city election to the general election and now more turn out to vote but they have no clue what is going on locally and vote for the younger crowd…or the candidate that seems like the biggest victim. And then there’s the union flooding the mailboxes with Ericksons puss and name. That’s why we need to spread the word to friends and neighbors..don’t vote for this union puppet.
What an absolute disgrace this all is. Voters need to wake up, this runaway train CC is going to end us all up in one helluva mess.
At the end of the council meeting Mayor Erickson addressed the issue again. He talked about a directive to add a roundabout at Lexington and Gardner and organizing the area to be a permitted parking zone. Again acting with no input from the neighborhood and acting upon himself with misguided solutions. I was appalled that Mayor Erickson invited attendees to go to the lobby to discuss the issues with Bob Cheung during a meeting that I attended for more issues than the Vista/Gardner problems. Hence I couldn’t be a part of both. Mayor Erickson, Vice Mayor Byers, and Councilmember Shyne… Read more »
I am not a fan of Bob Cheung. I had to deal with him when I was on the disabilities advisory board, and I found it him to be weak, and at times less than honest. That being said, I was infuriated at the meeting last night when the mayor, rather than listening to all the people from Gardner, sent them out of the meeting into the hallway to discuss their plight with Bob. While it is true that the staff did not inform the Gardner residents that they would be losing parking spaces, it is also true that the… Read more »
Bob Cheung is incompetent.
and Erickson is self-serving, duplicitous, and smarmy
