Plummer Park will come alive with the melodious strains of the Melodia Mariposa String Quartet at 3 p.m. today as part of the “Harmony Within” Exhibition and Art Festival.
Organized in collaboration with LarkGallery, the Harmonia Institute and West Hollywood City Hall, the festival is set to offer an afternoon of classical music paired with thoughtful dialogue aimed at fostering appreciation and education among attendees of all ages.
The heart of the festival will be the performance by Melodia Mariposa. Founded by the accomplished violinist Irina Voloshina, whose credentials include solo performances with global orchestras and collaborations on over 600 film scores with legendary composers such as John Williams and Hans Zimmer, Melodia Mariposa aims to make classical music accessible to a diverse audience.
The festival will feature a unique conversation between Irina Voloshina and esteemed classical music critic, Laurence Vittes, providing insights into the world of classical music production and performance.
