The robbery took place on the premises not near the Edition. It occurred right in front of the door at their valet

White Liberals don’t realize that street criminals of color consider them the easiest marks because they think that their liberal tendencies towards people of color make them immune from their depredations. “You can’t rob me, I voted for Obama twice and support BLM”.SMH. Welcome to the real world.

It’s almost impossible to insure this kind of thing doesn’t happen without a cop every 5 feet. But we could vote out people like Gascon who encourage theft by not prosecuting them. A few years behind bars is a deterrent. Same with all the stupid gun laws they pass every year that do nothing. Throw a guy in jail for a 5 year minimum using a gun in a crime and you’ll see crime go way down. Or just continue enacting idiotic laws that honest citizens follow and criminals just ignore.

I agree, you can never stop this type of crime as a thief knows where the rich are. Drones would be good. Could have followed the vehicle until the cops could stop it. The description of the watch and the robber having a gun make this a class B felony, so it would not fall under proposition 47 rules.

The highest end Omega watch is around $26,000.
Is this the kind of robbery you described?

Given the hundreds of thousands of dollars WeHo spends promoting our hotels and the Sunset Strip, not being able to insure tourists a safe visit is ultimately going to catch up with us. Will it only be when out hotel tax takes a dive before the City Council understands their #1 responsibility is public safety?

Perhaps, unfortunately only after one of our council members are held-up in this same manner, will things change ~ ENOUGH SAID!

Change how? Smart thrives case an area, know where wealthy people are and do quick hit robberies. Just a few years ago in Beverly Hills, a jeweler was having lunch and got robbed on the patio.

This is getting ridiculous. They need to rewrite that famous song… Hooray for Hollywood That screwy, ballyhooey Hollywood Where any office boy or young mechanic Can steal a gun and cause a panic With just a sinister plan And any shopgirl can be a topless girl On Instagram, if she pleases the tired businessman Hooray for Hollywood You may be a loser in our neighborhood To be a felon, just go rob Ellen And make your kisser make the news (you’ll look real good) Go out and try your luck, Maybe pistol-whip Donald Duck Hooray for Hollywood Hooray for Hollywood!… Read more »
