Transients engaged in ‘lewd acts’ behind Le Pho

L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating a report of lewd conduct this morning in an alleyway off Santa Monica Boulevard, according to police dispatch.

An employee of Le Pho at 7243 Santa Monica Blvd. called 9-1-1 just before 10 a.m. to inform authorities that two homeless people were engaging in “lewd acts” behind the restaurant.

Dispatchers refer to them as 925Ts — code for “Suspicious Circumstances, Transient Related,” according to the department’s radio code manual.

Comments posted on Citizen app ranged from crude jokes to calls for public sex to be legalized.

  • kilgore_trout69: “Nothing like a good alley-bang.”
  • GateWhitley: “Make discreet public sex legal then it won’t require valuable police resources.”

I thought “WeHo” was clever, but “WestHo” is even better!

So it’s ok for gay guys to screw in Vaseline Alley but not a couple of transients down the road? Another example of the hypocrisy.

You’ve got to be kidding. Have some respect for our neighborhood.

It likely would have been “ok” if they hadn’t actually been caught. I would imagine the same thing would apply in Vaseline Alley. If it bothers you so much, perhaps you could go park there one evening and when you see something, call the police and see what happens.
