Disney Channel alum Skai Jackson may be facing a misdemeanor charge following her arrest last week at Universal Studios in Hollywood.
The “Jessie” and “Bunk’d” star was taken into custody on August 9 after security personnel at the theme park, located near the Universal CityWalk shopping and dining district, observed a physical altercation between Jackson and her boyfriend.
“While inside Universal Studios Theme Park, a domestic incident occurred involving Skai Jackson,” a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday. “Based on the initial investigation, it was determined Ms. Jackson was the primary aggressor and was arrested for misdemeanor Spousal Battery.”
Jackson, 22, was transported to the West Hollywood Station for booking.
Security staff reportedly contacted law enforcement after allegedly witnessing Jackson push her boyfriend. The couple was detained until authorities arrived and reviewed security footage, which purportedly showed Jackson pushing her boyfriend twice.
According to the sheriff’s jail records, Jackson was arrested at 5:50 p.m. and booked at 6:30 p.m. Her bail was set at $20,000, and she was cited and released a few hours later.
Both Jackson and her boyfriend reportedly denied any physical altercation during the incident, with Jackson allegedly stating that they are happily engaged and expecting a child.
A representative for Jackson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The investigation remains ongoing, with the case expected to be forwarded to the Van Nuys Superior Court for further action.
Girl gotta learn to control herself in public. Mr. Mouse does not like bad press.
When this woman 5’2″ had a conflict with another woman 4’11” she filed and got a restraining order. Now she thinks she is tough by picking on her snively little boyfriend who couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag. Just imagine what would happen if she tried that with a real man or butch chick❗🤣
How very unDisney. Funny how they denied anything occurred even though there is actual security footage. As Gimmeabreak said, happy to see gender equality applied here when it comes to the law.
Good to see gender equality in domestic abuse charges. If she behaves this way in a public place you can only imagine what she does to this guy in the privacy of their home. I know of two cases where the “she” was beating the heck out of the “he”, police were called by neighbors, but the “she” was given only a warning. If the genders were reversed in these two cases the “he” would have been jailed, convicted and probably spent time locked up and with a record for the rest of his life.
