DRAG: The Musical, a production that brings the world of drag to the stage, has announced Tristan Schukraft as its newest producer. Schukraft, known for his work as a tech entrepreneur, hospitality leader, and creator of the MISTR platform, joins the production team as the show prepares for its Off-Broadway debut at New World Stages, located at 340 West 50th Street.
The musical, directed and choreographed by Spencer Liff, features a cast including Alaska Thunderf*ck, Nick Adams, Lagoona Bloo, Jan Sport, Jujubee, and Joey McIntyre. Previews begin on September 30, 2024, with the official opening night set for October 21. The show follows the rivalry between two drag houses, blending fashion, family, and competition.
Schukraft, who is also known as “The CEO of Everything Gay,” expressed his excitement about joining the production. “DRAG: The Musical brings together the magic, drama, and culture of drag in a way that’s never been done before,” Schukraft said. “We’re at a moment in time where drag and queer art are thriving and transforming how we think about identity and performance.”
In addition to his role in DRAG: The Musical, Schukraft is the founder of MISTR, a telehealth platform offering access to PrEP and other sexual health services. His hospitality ventures include Tryst Hotels and iconic venues such as The Abbey in West Hollywood and The Blue Whale in Fire Island Pines.
Spreading himself so thin so quickly. His “new” cannabis location is yet to open too! Sadly they closed down Zen already and the new location is still not open! Is this money laundering?!?/
Where is he getting his money?
Hey Tristan, how about a musical that parodies our beloved city council? I think everyone has had enough of drag queens fighting with each other. Maybe one of the boys who you keep in your house can run with the idea.
Hoqdoees one becomeinrvolved in West Hollywood Community Theatre?
He should run for City Council. West Hollywood needs a successful businessman like Tristan Schukraft to get all the stalled construction projects going.
Brilliant idea!!!!!!!
He did run for City Council, and lost in 2013
And make it much easier for him to complete his takeover of WeHo.
Monopoly?
