Zinc Cafe busts out the booze

Zinc Cafe and Market on Melrose Avenue has officially rebranded as Zinc Cafe and Bar, marking a new era of culinary offerings with an expanded menu. The establishment, known for its vegetarian options, has now introduced dishes featuring proteins such as organic chicken, steak, and seasonal fish to appeal to a broader range of guests. The rebrand coincides with Zinc Cafe and Bar joining the Paris Baguette portfolio.

“We are thrilled to evolve the Zinc brand and enhance our offerings,” said Darren Tipton, CEO of Paris Baguette. “The transformation into Zinc Cafe and Bar signifies a new era of culinary innovation, allowing us to better serve our communities.”

New menu highlights include shrimp tacos, grilled steak bowls, pan-seared salmon and a bacon onion white pizza. Traditional favorites such as the Southwest Salad, Avocado Salad, and Grilled Vegetable Sandwich remain on the menu, with seasonal specials and limited-time offerings planned throughout the year.

This place was great – before they switched to table service. I’m not interested in adding 20% to my lunch tab.

that’s interesting that they went to table service when a lot of restaurants are trying to reduce their overhead costs.

It’s really good to see a local brand grow rather than close up shop and get the hell out of West Hollywood like so many others have. This one is a win!

Agreed! And a completely enjoyable, comfortable, & nice space with good food offerings. Big time ‘value-add’ for the hood..

Maybe you shouldn’t live in a city? Help your well bring and move to a quieter neighborhood or the outskirts far away from restaurants and bars. Then, you won’t feel the need to complain as much, or be so upset.

When Le Pain had this location it was awesome. Great brunch place.

I’m amazed it’s taken the present crew this long for the penny to drop – not the booze per se, but meat – the all veggie menu was wack. Hope they’re able to turn things around now

It’s already been turned-around, check it out.. I believe it’s under new ownership as well.

I’m sure the neighbors won’t mind a bit having a late night drunk crowd in addition to a daily very busy business.

Rose Marie, b4 trying to kill something welcomed & great in the hood, go have a meal, perhaps a glass of wine (or not), however, you’ll clearly see the crowd this establishment attracts is neither loud, obnoxious, getting ‘drunk’, or otherwise! I did happen to see a beautiful bridal shower with great floral & champagne, a young woman sketching & having a glass of wine, myself, my wife, & some friends having a good meal with good conversation, DON’T be a hater – Would you rather it be an empty space???
