It was April 2016 when the Mayor of West Hollywood Lindsey Horvath issued a decree to then candidate Donald Trump: “You are not welcome in West Hollywood”. Horvath took to MSNBC, CNN and other news channels grabbing the spotlight to declare “Donald Trump is not welcome in West Hollywood”. We wrote about it in real-time.
The Los Angeles Times highlighted Horvath’s “Stay Out of West Hollywood”. The Mayor of West Hollywood vs. Donald Trump, is the title of this Advocate article. Horvath built her career attacking Donald Trump.
Horvath also joined her other city council members weighing in on the national politics and the impeachment of Donald Trump.
Today County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath represents District 3 of Los Angeles County, an area that has been devastated by the California wildfires. This afternoon a reporter asked LA City Mayor Karen Bass if the incoming President was expect to come here [Los Angeles]administration, Bass replied that she had spoken directly to the incoming administration. Supervisor Kathryn Barger added, “knowing what I know, and I represent Altadena, which is probably the most diverse community in the 5th District. Barger extended an invitation of her own to President-elect. “I look forward to welcoming President-elect Trump to our communities so he can see the desperate need said Bargeer. Supervisor Horvath has yet to extend her own invitation.
Donald doesn’t like people who attack him. And there are very few politicians who have been as vocal as Lindsey Horvath when it comes to Trump’s positions on women’s rights, transgender rights, and other social issues.
Will Horvath, an arch-protaganist of Trump put away the rhetoric for the good of LA County? Will Horvath, once Republican-turned Democrat, devout Christian who is steadfast women’s advocate, straddle her past with the present. She’s done it before, she’ll do it again.
Conversations run large that Horvath was circling a potential at Governor Newsome’s open seat in 2026. That tide shifted with Kamala Harris grabbing the upper hand should she decide the race as Newsome’s replacement. The same can’t be said for Los Angeles City Mayor Karen Bass. Horvath’s star is rising and she has a way of capitalizing on political weakness. In the race to replace Bass, Lindsey Horvath is the frontrunner. But will Lindsey do an about face and welcome the President-elect? I’ll bet she does. Nice to see you up there Lindsey.
Horvath will do or say anything to get her face on TV
Like Trumpf would ever come to WeHo anyway; easy to say you’ll do or not do something when the situation is never going to happen.
Me: “I will never welcome Putin to West Hollywood! That’s my stance!”
She will have no choice but to welcome the President, not that anyone really cares about anything that she has to say or do. She is incompetent and a failure.
Apparently you are in the minority. I do not know her personally, and I don’t like her, but she is obviously competent, and obviously successful.
If you consider shenanigans and lying her way to be elected to be successful, I guess thats the way it all works but certainly wouldn’t be a gage in my opinion of success and competence. I do know her, and I know her to be a liar, deceitful, an opportunist and a fraud and unqualified to hold the position that she does. Duping the public and having a track record built like a house of cards, is not by any stretch of the imagination worth any admiration. Anyways, she will have to welcome Trump and she will have to assume… Read more »
You’re right, she’s no dummy. She knows exactly what she needs to do to position herself in the best possible light. And she will make sure she takes advantage of whatever she can to further her political career.
One Party rule has destroyed the state.
She is another failed politician. Where was she before the fires?
She is a political animal that will do whatever it takes to put her in the best position to obtain more power and position. I’m sure she’ll be rolling out the red carpet. After all, money is money and airtime is airtime.
I hope she does what is best for the cities impacted, and so should all of us.
