Urbn Leaf, the only cannabis dispensary on the famed Sunset Strip was vandalized early Friday morning. This is the third time that the pot shop has been robbed since May of 2024. We reported about the 1st break-in when a dozen men ransacked the newly open dispensary.
An employee at Urbn Leaf described the robbery as “worse than the last time but not as bad as the first time”. Wood panels were placed on top of the glass storefront again. A costly expense that has happened three times in nine months.
Urbn Leaf is operated by Statehouse Holdings. The parent company has recently filed bancrupcy and is operating under receivership. Assets of the San Diego based company are for sale with bidding set to close on January 15th. Drew Matthews, CEO of Green Life Business Group that is conducting the proceedings has stated in an interview, “To my knowledge, it’s the largest receivership deal in U.S. (cannabis) history.”

They want to put a pot shop at the abandoned building at 1105 Laurel Ave,West Hollywood,CA 90046…it’ll bring so much crime to the neighborhood !
I wish they would put dispensaries in the neighborhoods that need it. Hint hint.
