City workers were asked to rate the importance of compensation related topics, along with their view on how well the city has performed on those same topics.

Please rate how important each of the following statements is to you. To help us understand how this organization is doing, please rate the City’s performance by agreeing or disagreeing with each of the following statements. A) You are paid fairly compared with people in similar cities who hold similar jobs. B) The City offers equitable systems or recognition, acknowledgement and rewards

Fair pay carries a 94% level of importance in the survey.   68% of WeHoME city hall employees agreed strongly or agreed somewhat that the city performs offers fair pay compared to their peers in similar cities who perform similar work.  The gap of 25 percentage points is double the 12pt gap from the 2018 survey.

Being recognized, acknowledged and rewarded properly carries a 74% importance ratio.   Only 30% of WEHoME city hall workers agreed strongly or agreed somewhat that the city was performing well in this area.  This is a 44% gap which the survey indicates as a critical gap.

500k a YEAR For city manager? WTF!! Do some work then city hall officials!! Stop spending out tax dollars on ridiculous things and spend funds to clean up our streets, fill empty storefronts and get the ever growing homeless, transient, mentally ill population off the our city streets!!!!!

This is the highest paid city in all of california, The city manager makes over 500 thousand dollars a year!
