West Hollywood is set to honor National Women’s History Month this March with a packed lineup of events spotlighting women’s legacies and fearless contributions.
The celebration ignites on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 6 p.m., with a Women’s History Month proclamation at the West Hollywood City Council meeting. Held at the Council Chambers (625 N. San Vicente Blvd., next to the West Hollywood Library), it’s free to attend—no RSVP needed. Park in the adjacent five-story structure (limited validated spots), or stream it live at www.weho.org/wehotv or www.youtube.com/wehotv.
From March 4 to March 22, Santa Monica Boulevard’s globe lanterns will blaze purple and gold, while street banners salute iconic women—civil rights heroes, activists, and legends like Maya Angelou, Dolores Huerta, Coretta Scott King, Michelle Obama, and Oprah Winfrey. New this year: Dr. Judith F. Baca (artist and activist) and Jamie Lee Curtis (actress and author), unveiled later in the month.
