Adam Garvey purchases the V-Wine Room

The V-Wine Room, located at 903 Westbourne Drive just north of Santa Monica Blvd. has a new owner.   Adam Garvey, a West Hollywood resident took over the famed establishment on March 3rd.

Garvey had been a frequent customer for over ten years and says “it’s always held a special place in my heart”.    The business had been for sale in 2022 and Garvey thought he had missed the opportunity.  But what is meant to be, is meant to be.    This past October Garvey was in Palm Springs for the weekend contemplating his next moves in life.   When he returned back to Weho he noticed that V-Wine room was on the market again and didn’t want to miss out on his dream.

“V has so much potential but has pretty much remain unchanged since its inception.   I plan to update the space but still keep it warm and inviting, Garvey told WEHOonline.    “Down the road I plan to add coffee and small bites and open at 10am to provide people with a new space to work from home and need a new environment”

While V-Wine Room has a wide selection of wines and sakes, Garvey plans to bring back beer and offer non-alcoholic beverages.   “If you haven’t had a chance to try the pizzas or charcuterie boards they are some of the best in the city!”  Garvey excitedly told us.   “We also offer Jinpachi Sushi on our menu which pares perfectly with our sake.

I’m so grateful for the previous owners taking care of V over the past few years and providing me with this opportunity for the future.   I’m excited for V to now be a locally gay-owned business providing a ‘home’ for our community.   V is a space that makes everyone feel like family and I’m passionate about always keeping it that way.”

I have never heard of this place and have walk by many times. I am starting to appreciate wine more, so I am looking forward to checking this new place out. Hopefully, they will offer wine flights so visitors can get a sense of the many kinds of wines available.

Thank God. That place has so much potential but between the terrible lighting and the strange decor, it wasn’t working.

I’ve completely forgotten this place existed. It’s so tucked away low key comparatively to every other watering hole in West Hollywood, and it doesn’t have late hours. They should really work on promotion, I’m sure a lot of others may have similar thoughts about it. Good luck to the new owner!

I’ve passed this place a thousand times but never went in because I’m not a wine drinker. Looking forward to giving it another try. Is Adam single?
