In honor of Women’s Day, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department honored Deputy Ramirez, a 17-year veteran who has served 2.5 years at the West Hollywood Station. Starting her career at Pitchess Detention Center North Facility after graduating from the Deputy Sheriff Academy, she later worked as an Operation Safe Jails Deputy at the South Facility, tackling gang activity in county jails. Now patrolling West Hollywood, Deputy Ramirez values helping others and learning daily. “I enjoy being able to help a diverse community and learning new things,” she shared, adding, “I have great partners and have fun working with them.” Her journey reflects the dedication of women in law enforcement at LASD, one of the nation’s largest sheriff’s departments.
