Community Invited to Spring Clean-Up Series

The City of West Hollywood is launching a series of “Community Clean-Up” events to spruce up the town and bring people together. These clean-up sessions will happen on Saturday mornings in April and May 2025 at different spots around the city. They’re a great way to kick off Earth Month and let residents, business owners, and volunteers team up to make West Hollywood shine while chatting with neighbors, local businesses, and city officials.

Anyone can join in for one or all of these events:

  • Eastside Community Clean-Up: Saturday, April 12, 2025
Check-in at Fuller Lawn in Plummer Park (7377 Santa Monica Blvd) from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Clean-up runs from 9:45 a.m. to noon.
  • Westside Community Clean-Up: Saturday, April 26, 2025
    Check-in at West Hollywood Park (647 N. San Vicente Blvd) from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Clean-up goes from 9:45 a.m. to noon.
  • Mid-City Community Clean-Up: Saturday, May 10, 2025
Check-in at West Hollywood City Hall (8300 Santa Monica Blvd) from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Clean-up lasts from 9:45 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers will get gloves, trash-pickers, bags, water, and snacks to help them tackle litter in streets, alleys, parks, and other public areas. They’re also asked to keep an eye out for things like graffiti or bulky items that need reporting to city staff. Everyone’s welcome—residents, businesses, neighborhood groups, advisory boards, you name it. The city’s teaming up with Athens Services and Block by Block Ambassadors, and staff will be on hand to answer questions.

All ages can pitch in, but kids under 18 need a parent or guardian with them. It’s a good idea to sign up ahead of time at volunteer.weho.org—registered folks will get a confirmation and check-in info.
