The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station has released its statistics for February 2025, detailing law enforcement activity across the city.
Deputies responded to 1,626 calls for service, resulting in 116 arrests, including 31 felony arrests. Emergency response times averaged 3.9 minutes across 67 high-priority incidents.
Property crimes continued to be a focal point, with 159 reported incidents, including 24 burglaries, 38 thefts from motor vehicles, and seven auto thefts. Robberies increased to 15 incidents compared to the previous year.
Traffic enforcement efforts yielded 70 reports, five DUI arrests, and one scooter-related citation. The department also engaged with 55 unhoused individuals, offering services to 54, with four accepting assistance.
West Hollywood’s Safety Ambassadors released their February 2025 report, highlighting community engagement and safety efforts throughout the city.
Ambassadors facilitated 1,956 hospitality interactions and made 3,463 business contacts. Unhoused outreach efforts resulted in 578 interactions, up 24% from last year. Safety escorts rose to 29 incidents, reflecting a 200% increase.
Patrol teams responded to 403 calls for service and addressed 228 reports of improperly parked scooters. Sheriff assistance was requested 20 times, a 300% increase over the previous year.
Traffic safety measures included 521 miles covered by bike patrols. Emergency medical and fire responses totaled eight incidents.
The Safety Ambassadors also responded to 403 calls for service throughout the month, with an average response time of 13.9 minutes.
Crime is up in West Hollywood and the city makes money by keeping the homeless in the streets !
Sorry but from reading this the takeaway is crime in our city is rising. Every day and every night I notice more and more scary transients / homeless showing up on our streets. I rarely see any of the old homeless on the streets anymore I think they too are afraid of the new ones showing up in city limits.. Afraid on what the facility by weho bistro may bring….crowds of them?
Every homeless person that refuses help should be removed. Every month the number accepting help is extremely low. We must enforce our public camping ban like Beverly Hills does.
