The Den on Sunset Is Closing After 16 Years

After 16 great years, The Den on Sunset is shutting down at the end of March 2025. The bar, a fixture on the Sunset Strip since 2009, is wrapping up its run in West Hollywood.

The team behind The Den shared a simple thank-you: “It’s been a hell of a ride, and we owe it all to our amazing staff, the West Hollywood crowd, and everyone who’s stopped by.” They’re inviting folks to come in for one last drink before the place closes for good on Saturday, March 29. You can book a spot or just walk in to say goodbye.

The Den has been a go-to spot on the Strip for years. Back in late 2022, it got a big overhaul and reopened with a new look, dinner options, and a full bar that kept things going late. Right in the middle of the Sunset action, it was a place where people could grab a bite, sip a drink, or hang out all night. The menu had something for everyone—snacks for the after-work crew or bigger meals for a proper sit-down. The drinks leaned on California flavors, with cocktails that hit the spot whether you were at a table or moving to the music.

Since opening in 2009, The Den has been a steady part of the Sunset Strip, changing with the times but always keeping its core. The 2022 redo gave it a fresh start, and it stayed a solid pick for locals and visitors alike. Now, as March 2025 winds down, it’s time to close the doors.

The Den’s exit leaves a gap in West Hollywood’s nightlife, but it’ll be remembered by everyone who spent time there. Before it’s gone, swing by for a final round and a nod to 16 good years.

3 restaurants in a single week, two of which I have frequented regularly for years. There is absolutely no way to spin this. Rents are too high. Operating costs are too high. Prices are too high. These idealistic council members are so naive, virtue signaling at the expense of business owners, employees and residents.
