The Sunset Strip Liquor Store at 8860 W. Sunset Boulevard has closed after five years in business. They had advertised final clearance discounts in a recent instagram post, writing: “Hurry, this is your last chance to grab your favorite bottles before they’re gone. Cheers to great deals and goodbye to our store – don’t miss out.”
Fine little package store that underwent slight remodels. With dogs welcome behind the counter with certain patronage, one wonders where you’ll run to for odd bottles or soaps. Gil Turners a few steps from Viper Room pay to play your way down. “Nobody’s here why listen?”

Glad about this one because they obliterated the old door framing and put floor to ceiling glass doors. They are destroying lots of old buildings in Weho creating these glass storefronts.

Oh say it isn’t so, all these liquor stores closing could cause an unimagined number of alcoholics to completely give up alcohol in their lives, enabling them to critically examine the real sources of their problems instead of retreating into inebriation. This at the very least could force parasitical liquor store owners into having to make an honest living to the benefit of all in society
