Event Features Networking, Expert Panels, and Plant-Based Meals to Explore Food’s Climate Impact
West Hollywood will host Food Day in WeHo on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Plummer Park’s Fiesta Hall, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard. Aligning with LA Climate Week and Earth Month, the event seeks to educate attendees on healthier, more sustainable living with an environmental focus. Produced by the Plant Based Treaty initiative, Food Day in WeHo offers a day of networking, expert discussions, and plant-based meals, all highlighting food’s potential to combat climate change. Admission is free, with registration encouraged via Eventbrite, where the full schedule is available.
The Plant Based Treaty, a global campaign, promotes plant-based diets among individuals, businesses, and cities, emphasizing how current food systems worsen climate issues. Marking a pioneering international agreement, it places food at the center of climate action, aiming to halt ecosystem damage from animal agriculture. The treaty pushes for a shift to sustainable, plant-based diets to reverse ecological harm and biodiversity loss.
Built on three principles, the treaty calls for Redirect—moving food production to low-emission, plant-based systems; Relinquish—halting animal agriculture’s expansion to protect ecosystems; and Restore—rewilding land and addressing climate challenges equitably.
Organized by Plant Based Treaty Los Angeles, Food Day in WeHo will include plant-based food offerings, educational panels, raffles, and guest speakers. Organizers urge participants to walk, bike, or take public transit to the event, supporting sustainable travel choices.
Love it!
So in other words, it’s “Salad Day” in Weho.
