The Academy Award-winning documentary “How to Survive a Plague” follows the early activism of ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) and TAG (Treatment Action Group) as they put pressure on the pharmaceutical industry to make an effective AIDS drug available. There will be a pre-reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the film screening at 7:30 p.m. and a panel discussion from 9:30 to 10 p.m. Silver Screen Theatre, Pacific Design Center, 8687 Melrose Ave. and San Vicente.
