‘Junk in the Trunk’ rummage sale is back

The City of West Hollywood’s Recreation Services Division invites all treasure hunters to Junk in the Trunk at Plummer Park’s South Parking Lot (off of Santa Monica Blvd. & Martel Ave.) on Saturday, September 18 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Shopping is FREE! Shoppers can rummage through the junk (or yard sale goods) from your fellow community members.

For those interested in selling items, SPOTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE! Click here to register or visit our website at weho.org/recreation for more information. Advanced registration is required to sell and must be presented upon entrance to the parking lot. Registration/tickets will not be sold on site.

Masks and social distancing are encouraged during the event. We look forward to seeing you there!

Junk in the Trunk. The event – in which I have participated – needs far more publicity and attention. Don’t blame the residents for “not reading”‘sooner. And don’t blame the folks who try to make it a success, but are deterred by arcane rules and excuses. Try helping the city get on the stick and shift into high gear and do some PR. Damn I would have loved to participate. Unfortunately. Reading this at 8:45pm the evening before is too late to participate. This is the third post in three weeks that the event is too close or has already occurred. What has happened to Wehoville? Instead of posting the same content for a week, let’s get it together and post in enough time to advise your readers of the event.

I love going to this. I also hope we can find out at least a week in advance. Maybe Plummer Park can let you know sooner.
