SoHo House, the exclusive club that opened at 9200 Sunset Blvd. in 2010, is expanding with a new hotel.
The club currently offers a garden restaurant and other amenities but no hotel rooms as it does in London, New York and Miami.
The new hotel will be called Little House and will occupy the former Palihouse property at 8465 Holloway Drive, a six-minute drive from SoHo House.
“There are 34 bedrooms to stay overnight, club spaces, a rooftop with views over the city, and House Studio [content creation space] for members to connect and create with each other,” SoHo Founder Nick Jones told The Hollywood Reporter.
Tumult in the Avi Brosh empire.
Love to see how a Soho House hotel handles the homeless, mental cases screaming in the street high on crack, and all the trash they bring. The 7-11 next door is a magnet for it.
Well at least they’re merely vulturing a former hotel site and not building yet another hotel structure in over-hotel’d Weho. I call this a win.
As a Soho House member, I found this house super underwhelming. I hope they are selective as to who they give memberships to. They should have picked a spot where they could have had a badass pool… that would have made the house so fun and been a nice contrast to the original WeHo house… but instead, it feels like an Armani Exchange house. The only real draw I see is Soho House members visiting from outside of LA, a great location vs. the DTLA house that’s basically the only thing around in that neighborhood and kind of far away… Read more »
Armani Exchange House! Hahahaha!
I thought the Chamber of Commerce had painted a very bleak future for hotels in West Hollywood. Obviously the SoHo House remains bullish on West Hollywood.
So the public won’t have access to the bar and restaurant as we did when it was Palihouse…
Yes, keeps you out 😉
I loved the restaurant Mardi at Palihouse and went there often. I assume that I shall not be allowed into the Soho House restaurant seeing that I am not a member. It was bad enough loosing Basic Cafe, now this!
Looks like they didn’t that pool permit approved.
I mean… it’s so dumb. Talk about such a huge missed opportunity. Apparently the building couldn’t handle a weight of a pool on the roof.
Crazy that there are more pools at Soho Houses in NYC than there are in the Los Angeles area… if they had been smarter about picking a location that could have had an amazing rooftop pool like the DTLA house has, that roof would have been the “it” place to be in WeHo during the warm and summer months. Beyond stupid on SoHo’s part.
Even Samantha Jones wouldn’t be able to get in!
