Meanwhile, Wehovillians are politicizing this as a ‘Woke’ thing.

It was at Raffi’s Jewelers not on the street.

I was at the jeweler on Santa Monica and La Cienega minutes after the crooks ran. The owner is a friend of many years and was closing his shop after 9 years the following day. The police were responsive but the guy got away. This same guy tried the same thing at the same jewelry store but the seller arrived with an armed security guard and the alleged buyer changed his mind. In both instance the alleged buyer wanted the jeweler to authenticate the watch but clearly is was just a ruse. The crime is West Hollywood is worse then… Read more »

How are you all enjoying the new “woke” black crime wave sweeping all American cities including Weho? The cameras don’t lie folks. What you are seeing is what it is., with more to come. Just keep defunding the police and voting radical left Socialist Democrat and you’ll get more of it, How do you all enjoy it so far? Gotten mugged yet?

Just keep defunding the police”

Keep defunding? Have the police been defunded?

I’m sure you’re happy to spreading the narrative of a “crime wave” because it give you an excuse to be explicitly racist now.

I hate liars. You are a liar. You have done more to harm the black community by making them ‘children’ that can’t be held accountable. Shame on you. Move to San Francisco or other democrat crap holes that allow people to crap on the streets.

I’m NOT surprised at all. When white people make up false stories about crimes they frequently implicate Black people❗

WHAAAAAAT? False stories about crimes? Who does that?

When I hear a story about an over-the-top racist crime it is almost always a hoax (Jussie Smollet).

Those TV cameras don’t lie. When it captures police misconduct you love it, but when it captures who all the violent criminals are, you don’t do you??

Cool story. Now let’s get everyone to cruise up and down Santa Monica Blvd screaming from their cars! It’s getting to the point where you can’t walk to get lunch. Those who call CA commiefornia have more insight than anyone knew.

The issues with safety in California have gotten insane, but please don’t slander Communism. Communist Cuba has no gangs or violent crime, and any comrade worth his beret woild be the first to put a violent criminal in the slammer.

Greeny. You are so right. The south is where freedom is still a part of the American fabric. Along with law and order and common sense. Living in WeHo is a stark contrast to living in the south. People are accepted for who they are in the south. Fascism lives in WeHo as you so elegantly have shown in most of your posts. One other thought. Have you ever lived in the south? I ask you to be honest. I have lived in the south and am a minority and have never felt unwelcomed-ever. I have lived in LA for… Read more »

This is a lie and you know it.

I encourage you to move back to the south if you like it so much! Why stay in a place if you feel so un-welcomed?

How exactly has my comment made you feel un-welcomed in LA?

You haven’t lived in the south. You bigotry is showing son. Stop your identity politics and accept people for who they show you to be. Like you, I accept you to be a bigot by caregiving southerners. You haven’t lived in the south yet you know-lol. Son, fascism doesn’t look good on you.

And it is not just one comment that is offensive, it is all of your commenting. It is time you genuflected son.

And I’ll live wherever I please. Your fascist owes are unwelcome in my sphere!

Didn’t someone mention there should be more law enforcement presence on the city streets? Oh, no, guess not then. It’s particularly baffling that these 3 muggings were in such close proximity to each other & none were seen by a sheriff. Or someone? Anyone? There IS an area trend, you know. Or a “goodwill ambassador?” lol Who thinks of this stuff? They’re such a waste of money & manpower. Maybe someday somebody who works for the city will explain to the unprotected citizens what the multitude of sheriffs do all day & all night. But don’t count on it. In… Read more »

My point was/is if there was more law enforcement presence on the streets, that could be a deterrent to criminals & also they just might witness some of these hoodlums mugging someone & arrest them on the spot. It’s only over the top to those who accept the status quo

When my friends and I were peacefully selling high quality Rolex clones, law enforcement of various kinds jumped on us almost instantly. Today’s New Rolex Super Clones are of exceptional quality and, quite difficult for an amateur to distinguish from the original. With rapid prototyping with CAD/CAM and 3D Printing technology it’s possible to produce the highest quality products at very low cost shortly after uploading the CAD Models. The clones I would hope one day soon would awaken the public to the potential of affordable high tech off brand products over overpriced originals supported by mainly hype.

It is newsworthy. In fact, I would like to know more! I am curious to know more about both the seller and the perps. It seems an obvious omission to not give some description of the criminals.

It was at Raffi’s I was there. The buyer pretends he wants a jeweler to authenticate a watch. Lots of fake vacherons and Rolex’s that are fairly deceptive. The perp attempted this twice per my earlier post

What is newsworthy is the stupidity of the seller. If you are going to sell something like that, meet in the lobby of the Sheriff’s station; not likely someone would pull this kind of stunt there. As they say “a fool and his rolex are soon parted”. I should be more empathetic but is common sense extinct in this City?

Agreed. And if you and your BF are each wearing a $25K Rolex, with $5K cash on you, maybe you should Uber, instead of roaming the streets at 2 AM?

And then what happens when Uber drivers are in on it? Not long ago it was believed that parking attendants were at the heart of home breakins while residents were out dining and also at some point expensive stolen vehicles.

Randy

My guess is that people are jumped on the street more often than Uber/thief plots. The incomplete safety report attached to the last Council agenda indicated an up-tick in “follow home” crimes, where thieves scope out victims while they are in bars or restaurants, and then follow them home and mug them on the way. I believe that many of these crimes could be prevented if people were street smart, didn’t walk around with expensive items on them, were aware of their surroundings (i.e., don’t be glued to your phone) and don’t walk home obliterated from alcohol. Especially late at… Read more »

Oh, you mean law abiding citizens need to wear certain clothes and watches,,,capitulate to the criminals? No, the criminals should be afraid of us and the law, not the other way around.
