WEHO PAC endorses State Senator Bob Hertzberg over WeHo’s own Councilmember Lindsey Horvath

The West Hollywood Political Action Committee (WEHO PAC) did not endorse West Hollywood Councilmember Lindsey Horvath in the race for County Supervisor District Three this summer, instead supporting state Sen. Bob Hertzberg for the position.

WEHO PAC is the political action arm of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce which supports or opposes candidates, ballot measures, causes and issues relevant to business interests.

Horvath had received the PAC’s endorsement in all of her prior races for City Council.

The snub comes after a year of conflict between the Council and the Chamber of Commerce in which the interests of the city’s business community were pitted against new policies pushed by organized labor such as a higher minimum wage for hotel workers. An independent survey commissioned by members of the Chamber showing widespread worries about rising crime and directing criticism at certain councilmembers also heightened tensions in City Hall.

Horvath is a vocal advocate for alternative policing and mental health services as public safety solutions; she has vocally supported a drawdown of sheriff’s deputies in WeHo. Hertzberg has positioned himself as the law enforcement-friendly candidate, having won the endorsement of various police agencies. Election Day is June 7.

Horvath has no political skill set whatsoever. You think she would have learned something while she has been lurking around our city. She has the maturity of a college sophomore by the way she speaks, presents herself and the way she has made her own clique within the West Hollywood City Council. She has done so much damage to this city in the last several years. She and her little pose have devised a system where as everyone that they deal with is labeled like a 5th grader would name call anyone who disagreed with her. She has made a… Read more »

Interesting that there are no reasons given for why Senator Hertzberg is the best choice for Supervisor other than he’s positioned himself as “the law enforcement friendly candidate”.

Please do a little investigating about his major points rather than taking sound bites to be the entire story.

Lindsey Horvath hs made so many political mistakes, I think she best get out of politics and do the best she can in the private sector.

People get re-elected by what they have done in the last term period. NOT by what they did 10 years ago.
People remember the here and now.

I hope this serves as a wake-up to the other two on city council who are (were) in lock step with her that they need to listen to their community and work to unite the community and city services. Not serve self-interest causes.

Smart move. Bye Bye Ms. Horvath. No solid foundation, limited scope, divisive policies, an amateur when an “all hands on deck” experienced hand is needed. Greatest wish that Sen. Hertzberg is elected as well as City Atty Mike Feuer to engage in resurrecting Los Angeles and Ms. Horvath is set adrift. Then it is up to serious residents to do the same to resurrect West Hollywood with skill and integrity.
