06/01/2022 @ 1741-1800. An unknown suspect removed a bag containing an IPad from underneath the front counter of the business after it was left unattended by the victim. #03227

Armed Robbery / Kidnapping

Hilldale Avenue / Vista Grande Street

06/05/2022 @ 2200-2245. The victim was walking NB on Hilldale Avenue and looking at this phone when a vehicle stopped next to him. The suspect exited the rear passenger’s seat and grabbed the victim by his arm and forced him into the vehicle. Once inside the vehicle, the suspect held a handgun to the victim’s head and demanded his property and he complied. The vehicle came to a stop and the victim was pushed from the car. #03397

Here is some news NOT reported. From Canyon News a cut and paste. MELROSE—Saturday, June 18th, West Hollywood deputies arrived at Melrose Ave & Westmount Drive at 6:27am after they received a call from a woman who reported that she was assaulted by a black, transient female with an unknown deadly weapon. The victim was walking her dog in the area when she was approached by the suspect, who accused her of stealing her property before she slashed her arms with an unknown weapon leaving the victim with lacerations to her body. I can’t believe how many people have their cell phones taken out of their front pants pocket!

Is there any commonality in the descriptions of the suspects?

Evidently at least 23 cell phones during the parade and prior day. So where are these “friendly neighborhood ambassadors” while this is occurring? And where are the Sheriff deputies other than standing in their defensive huddle? A perfect opportunity for this to happen. What were they thinking?
